Dr. Patel is a recognized expert in clinical pharmacy services. He has built Central Drugs Compounding Pharmacy into one of the leading and fastest-growing compounding pharmacies in the United States. Nayan is a frequent guest lecturer internationally on topics such as hormone replacement therapy, menopause and andropause, osteoporosis, and breast cancer. When it comes to patient healthcare, Nayan believes in a team approach. He is passionate about working together with physicians, nutritionists, and patients to develop a comprehensive plan to improve each patient's overall health and quality of life. In addition to his work with patients and practitioners at Central Drugs, Nayan is involved with the USC School of Pharmacy as a guest lecturer and faculty member.
As a Certified Clinical Nutritionist (CCN), Dr. Patel is an expert in nutritional health. He is a graduate of the University of Southern California School (USC) of Pharmacy and is now an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at USC. Ashwin is passionate about the role that alternative medicine can play in people's health, especially when including a diet that emphasizes whole foods and nutrient supplements. His emphasis on patient care extends throughout Central Drugs. Ashwin works directly with physicians to solve problems for patients, and gives both physicians and patients more treatment options.
Dr. Tran received his Pharmacy Degree from Saigon University, School of Pharmacy in 1978. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Southern California, Department of Physiology and Biophysics in 1993. His research has focused on utilizing Photo labile nucleotides analogues to study the relationship of structures and functions of various important biological enzymes. Chinh's work has been published in many international Journals such as the Journal of Biological Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biophysical Journal, etc. He has helped establish the organization as one of the nation's leading companies in the compounding pharmacy industry. Chinh has led the way in developing unique products and top-notch quality medications for Central Drugs.
Dr. Manisha Patel graduated from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Manisha has had over 20 years of retail experience. Her roles have included District Management, Immunization training, Management Rotation preceptor, Advisory Board positions with local pharmacy schools and technician schools. Manisha is certified as an Immunization trainer. Manisha is passionate about promoting medication compliance and educating patients to drive quality of life.
Dr. Patel received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of the Pacific, School of Pharmacy in Stockton, CA in 2001. He completed his 4th year clerkship rotations in Ventura County, and is licensed to practice pharmacy in California. Keyur is involved with prescription processing, providing drug information to doctors, patient counseling, non-sterile compounding, and supervising technicians and ancillary staff.
Dr. Castro-Ieng earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology from U.C.L.A. and her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. Sheryll adds a wealth of valuable industry knowledge to the Central Drugs team through her experience in a variety of pharmacy settings including retail, HMO, and managed care. Sheryll identifies herself not only as a healthcare professional but as a teacher. She has taught at Cerritos College in Norwalk, California, worked as a clinical consultant for a managed-care consulting firm in Irvine, California, and has a passion for guiding Central Drugs patients along their path to better health.
Dr. Chan received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of the Pacific Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Stockton, California in 2010. She has comprehensive knowledge of pharmaceuticals and over-the-counter medications through her experience in various retail and inpatient pharmacies and mobile health clinics. Peggy strives to use her expertise to provide unparalleled education for patients, and increase their overall health.
Dr. Tammy Xie earned her Bachelor of Sciences degree in Biological Sciences from University of California, Davis and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Western University of Health Sciences. She has an extensive background in retail and community pharmacy that was acquired through her experiences with different chain pharmacies. She is dedicated to optimizing patient health and outcomes through education and sharing of knowledge.
Dr. David Goldberg holds a Bachelors in Microbiology from UCLA, a Masters in Biochemistry from CSULA and a Doctorate in Cell Biology from UCLA. Upon graduation, Dr. Goldberg spent 3 years as Post-Doctoral research fellow at the City of Hope performing NIH sponsored Clinical Immunotherapy. Dr. Goldberg has compiled 28 years of biologics, pharmaceutical and medical device industry experience, spending 3 years as a pharmaceutical product stability manager, 7 years as a pre-clinical animal toxicologist while concurrently serving 7 years as a Certified Quality Auditor and Director of an Analytical Research Laboratory. Dr. Goldberg has also served 5 years as the head of corporate validation for a human plasma biologics manufacturing facility and spent 13 years as the department head of both Quality Assurance, Quality Control and Regulatory Affairs for four different medical device manufacturers. Dr. Goldberg is also the author of several peer reviewed publications.
Mary has a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and a Master's of Science in Microbiology/Molecular Biology from Texas A&M University. She has more than 25 years of industrial experience in Research and Development, Quality Assurance, Quality Control and Validations, having provided oversight for cGMP compliance in the manufacturing of biological molecules, medical devices for in vitro fertilization, autoimmune diseases and infectious diseases, and cosmeceutical/nutraceutical products. Mary has been responsible for generating and implementing policies and procedures for Quality Assurance, Quality Control and Validations, meeting the stringent state and federal regulations for the manufacture of sterile drugs.
Dr. Patel received her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from La Sierra University and Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Loma Linda University. Dimpi has a variety of experience in pharmacy including retail, managed care, compounding, management, and hospital. She is also trained to give immunizations to pediatric and adult patients.
Dr. Fujimoto attended the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California where he earned his Doctor of Pharmacy from the Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and his Master of Business Administration from the Eberhardt School of Business. Dr. Jonathan Fujimoto is the director of pharmacy who leads a cross functional team of pharmacists, chemists, microbiologist, and healthcare experts to deliver world class pharmaceutical products to patients and providers. Dr. Fujimoto has nearly 15 years of experience working in various clinical, academic and management settings. Dr. Fujimoto has built a reputation at taking ideas and creating impactful healthcare solutions.
Those that have collaborated with Dr. Fujimoto would describe him as passionate about people and their personal development. Dr. Fujimoto is an accomplished preceptor for pharmacy schools across the nation and enjoys developing tomorrow's leaders.
In his spare time Dr. Fujimoto is active in charity working with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Special Olympics, The Ronald McDonald House, Easter Seals, and other great organizations.
Dr. Gaherty is a 1994 graduate of the University of Southern California School of Pharmacy. She is a registered pharmacist in both Nevada and California and has more than 20 years of experience in community pharmacy practice. Stephanie first developed an interest in the art of compounding while working as an intern at a teaching hospital exploring alternative dosage forms for pediatric patients.
Dr. Eric Buu graduated from University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor's in Biological Sciences. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Jefferson School of Pharmacy in Philadelphia. He has great interest in research, precepting, and clinical pharmacy as a result of exposure to different scopes of practice within pharmacy. His experience includes in patient hospital, independent community pharmacy, as well as pharmaceutical marketing. Eric is passionate about his practice and enjoys collaborating with his colleagues to optimize patient healthcare and education.
Dr. Joanna Lin received her Bachelor of Science in Bio-Chemistry from UCLA and Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Loma Linda University, School of Pharmacy. Joanna specializes in both sterile and non-sterile compounding and has versatile pharmaceutical experiences in ambulatory care, hospital and retail settings. Mentored by a top USC graduate in compounding inspired her to excel and make a difference in her patients' lives. She actively volunteers in the community today and mentors for the youth in her church. Joanna's passionate about patient care through compounding and believes that compounding is a true art form.
Dr. Ravi Timbawala earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from University of California, Irvine. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of Southern California School of Pharmacy. Dr. Timbawala has experience in operating immunizations and is passionate about providing excellent patient care. He is committed towards providing patient education and promoting medication adherence.
Ben is a key leader on the Central Drugs team, with expertise in management and durable medical equipment. He has built a team of pharmacists and service experts who excel at serving physicians and patients. He brings his passion for people to his work in improving people's lives by helping them live healthfully.
Kathy is a natural born people person. She has more than ten years experience in the compounding pharmacy business. Kathy is every practitioner's go-to contact when they want to learn more about how Central Drugs can help them grow their practice and provide the best customized care for patients.
Cheryl's years of experience as a social worker drive her passion for connecting helping professionals with Central Drugs customized care resources. She is a graduate of University of California, Los Angeles and has her Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Cal State Northridge. Cheryl introduces new practitioners to our services in California and coordinates outreach education and marketing programs for patients and physicians.
